Award at Karnataka Rajyothsava Celebrations at GPO, Bangalore (29 November 2017)

Samiksha Foundation is grateful to have been honoured at the 62nd Karnataka Rajyothsava celebrations organised by the Workers’ Kannada Sangha of the Director’s Office, Accounts Department, General Post Office, Bangalore. This award is given for outstanding work in the community by ordinary citizens.

You may know, Rotarian YV Pai and his family have instituted an annual award in the memory of Susheela V Pai to recognize a woman achiever who has made exemplary and selfless contribution to the welfare of the disadvantaged children.

This year the SPM Person of the Year will be conferred upon Sandhya Sharad.

Ms. Sandhya Sharad founded the Samiksha Foundation which cares for children with Cancer.

About  Sandhya Sharad:

Non Profit and Social Responsibility:

Founded the Samiksha Foundation in 2008, in Bangalore. The Foundation Cares for children with Cancer by providing them with all the NON-Medical support that is required for them, while undergoing Cancer treatment in Oncology hospitals in India. Providing initiatives for continuing education and learning for children with life threatening conditions is the main mission of the foundation. The foundation runs a successful program in Kidwai Memorial Institute of Oncology Bangalore, for the past 3 years is on its fourth year of successful delivery. It also supports innumerable number of caregivers of such children in subtle but sure ways in Bangalore.
